I just received an email from UMW informing us of the start of the intramural flag football
season. Games will be played on the newly resurfaced "Goolrick Field" at the end of Sunken Road, with the season beginning October 18th and ending by the Thanksgiving holiday.
The message states that the lights will be left on some nights until 11 pm - programmed for auto shutdown 30 minutes after the scheduled finish of the last game. Efforts were made to limit the number of these late nights and the message did not specify whether these would fall on weekends or work nights. I personally favor a 10 pm shut down time myself and will ask them for additional information if it makes a difference to any of the more immediate neighbors.
